About Us

The Shop:
Call Me Cordelia is a vintage boutique. We specialize in cottage ambiance. Even if you live in today’s modern homes, it is still possible to savor the nostalgia of the Victorian days. We provide ladies with vintage handmade linens, gifts, antiques, elegant china, and florals, which can be customized. We don’t offer everyday items which can be found at Wal-Mart. Instead we offer nostalgic items you might remember from childhood visits to Grandma’s.

The Website:
Call Me Cordelia takes us back to a time before the cold modern age of cell phones, when handwritten letters and pressed flowers were treasured. In our blog, you’ll find old fashioned recipes, craft ideas, and gardening tips. Our online shop features vintage finds. We also have a section devoted to L. M. Montgomery’s beloved Anne of Green Gables. Call Me Cordelia offers a large selection of free goodies for our visitors. This includes: desktop wallpaper, icons, and games. Call Me Cordelia also offers historical information on the Victorian era.

About the Girl
Sooo, I'm not really sure what to say about myself. I'm very shy, almost reserved. I've always wanted to be the life of the party; but I'm honestly more of a quiet person. Soft spoken, someone once said. I have brown hair and matching brown eyes. I love porch swings, and rainy days. I'm Southern and live in North Carolina. Did I mention I like flowers? I'm a gardener and love being outdoors. I also enjoy reading and roller skating. I'm 21 years old (as of now 2010). I have five cats and a love of Irish Breakfast tea. I won't say anymore about myself because, after all, this is the internet and what I say is open to the whole wide world!

Our Name
The name Call Me Cordelia was my mom’s idea. It comes from a quote in my favorite novel Anne of Green Gables:

“…What’s your name?”
The child hesitated a moment.
“Will you please call me Cordelia?” she asked eagerly.
“Call you Cordelia? Is that your name?”
“No-o-o, it’s not exactly my name, but I would love to be called Cordelia. It’s such a perfectly elegant name.”
“I don’t know what on earth you mean. If Cordelia isn’t your name, what is?”
“Anne Shirley.”
